The Collar Jig Guide for our Bar Bending Machines
Our bar bending machines – TYB-D26, TYB-D35, TYB-HD42A and TYB-HD42D all have collar jigs. The jigs are inserted in our bar bending machines when the machine operator is tasked to bend 10mm diameter rebars and 12mm diameter rebars. Our jigs are engraved with “10” on one side and “13 B&C” on the other side. When the machine operator is tasked to bend 10mm rebars, the collar jig’s side that has “10” engraved on it should be facing outside. When the machine operator is tasked to bend 12mm rebars, the jig’s side that has “13 B&C” engraved on it should be facing outside.
Common Mistakes that are putting the Collar Jigs in danger
The machine operator must not insert rebars that are thicker that 10mm in the jig when the side that has “10” engraved on it is facing outside as its maximum capacity is up to 10mm rebars only. The machine operator must not insert rebars that are thicker than 12mm in the jig when the side that has “13 B&C” engraved on it is facing outside as its maximum capacity is only until 12mm rebars. Not following the guidelines and adding rebars that are thicker than the capacity of the jig will lead the jig to break – tremendously shortening its lifespan.
Another common mistake that the machine operators would do is that they would not insert the rebars in the space between the jig, rather placing them outside when they would engage in bending rebars. This will add tremendous amount of pressure, as the force of the machine is pushing the sides of the collar jigs inside. This will ultimately make the jig break into half – which is what no machine operator would want.
